Dear students, we proudly invite you to pursue your medical studies in Yerevan (Armenia), the land of open cafe culture under the open sky. During the summer, Yerevan looks like the city of fairy tale in the night, that’s why it is called the city of light. Armenia is the country where the legends are still alive and everywhere one can come across history-the history of the origin of mankind, Christianity, culture and architecture.
Republic of Armenia:
Armenia is located in the southern Caucasus and is the smallest of the former Soviet republics. It is bounded by Georgia on the north, Azerbaijan on the east, Iran on the south, and Turkey on the west. Contemporary Armenia is a fraction of the size of ancient Armenia. Oral history explains the lineage of the Armenian people as being the direct descendants of Noah's son Japheth. The indigenous people of the land of Ararat, Armenians forged their national identity with the rise of powerful Armenian kingdoms, the adoption of Christianity as Armenia's state religion, and the creation of the Armenian alphabet, which spurred the development of literature, philosophy, and science.
YEREVAN Yerevan is the capital city of Armenia. By air the most convenient connection to Yerevan is via Dubai. The flying time from Delhi to Dubai is of about 2 hours and 45 minutes. The flying time from Dubai to Yerevan is about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Some people also travel via Moscow but the journey becomes long. There are talks going on about starting a direct flight Between Delhi and Yerevan, but it will take some time before. However, the travel will become easier as the flying time from Delhi to Yerevan is only 3 hours and 45 minutes. The "pure" Armenian is considered Aryan in features with blonde hair and blue eyes, though one would be hard-pressed to find more than a small percentage with these pure features within the population. Many have an olive to dark complexion, with black or brown hair and eyes. By nature Armenians are very hospitable and believe in treating their guests nicely. Armenians have great love for Indian people and culture. India is considered by them to be a land with rich culture, great traditions and an emerging power. Indians movies are appreciated in Armenia. While older generation were fond of Raj Kapoor, Nargis. The younger lot is fond of movie stars like Mithun Chakarborty ,Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar. Aishwarya Rai and Kareena Kapoor have a big fan-following in Armenia
